Can you really save money on your house cleaning?
Today I am going to be looking at number six on the list of “13 Things Your House Cleaner Won’t Tell You”. This list was put together by Readers Digest & Good Morning America. Number six is; Want to save money on high-priced maid services? Instead of booking a regular appointment, ask to be on our on-call list to fill last-minute slots at a discount. Or see if you can be a “training home” for new cleaners.
I think there are a few issues with a statement like this. I understand in theory the last minute idea, because if a company has openings then I’m sure they’d rather fill them. So even if you take less money to do a job, its better then making no money at all. All companies have a break even point and can’t just give away the cleaning, so how much of a discount will you really get? I think this depends on each individual company and their expenses.
One of the focuses of this statement was saving money on “high-priced maid services”. What is high priced? The answer to that question, it really depends on each individual’s budget. For a job where we charge $85 a national chain might charge $125 or more. There might be another service that charges a little less. The key is to find the best service for you and your family at a price that works within your budget. If you have any questions call Total Cleaning Plus to get all your answers.
